Brice Obiang Obounou, PhD
Dr. Obiang Obounou is a public health nutrition scientist currently completing a certificate in applied biostatistics at Harvard University. He received a B.Sc. in Biochemistry from the Université de Moncton, a Pharmaceutical Research & Development Diploma from the Toronto Institute of Pharmaceutical Technology, and a Ph.D. in Oriental Pharmacy from Wonkwang University. He was the first to publish on acculturation and the risks of cardiovascular disease among minority populations in South Korea. Dr. Obounou’s special areas of interest include Dietary Acculturation and Health, Social Determinants of Health, and Health Inequalities. He also has great experience in developing research protocols, ethics approval and supervising research activities. He is a leader who has worked in Canada, Gabon and South Korean and has 7 years of teaching experience in higher education. His research and publications shows that he genuinely cares about people.

Pasha Emadi, PhD, DCC
​Dr. Pasha Emadi earned his Doctorate degree in Microbiology and Immunology from University of Laval, Quebec, Canada and a Post Doctoral Diploma in Clinical Chemistry from University of Toronto, Medical School, Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology. He has authored over 30 publications, including research papers, conference presentations, Gene Bank registration and US Patents. Dr. Emadi has more than 18 years of experience in the biotechnology industry and his research experience spans various scientific disciplines, including Molecular Biology, Clinical Biochemistry, Microbiology & Immunology, antibody engineering and manufacturing, and immunoassay method development and validation.  His strong background in medical sciences and extensive research experience allows him to consistently demonstrate leadership roles in diverse areas of research and development. 

Lamin D Massaquoi, PhD
​Dr. Massaquoi is a Population Health Epidemiologist with a Doctoral degree in Epidemiology at Hebei Medical University and Postdoctoral fellowship training in Global Health at the University of Ottawa. Lamin brings to the team a wealth of experience and competence in research, epidemiology, health systems, disease outbreak and surveillance, Health Information, Health Promotion, and Environmental Health in various parts of the world, including Low (Africa), Middle (Asia) and High (North America)  income countries. He has worked for academic institutions administering and facilitating health research grants, as well as for major international humanitarian organizations. He has also conducted clinical, operational and wet lab research and is published in reputable peer-reviewed journals.

Mackenzie Haggstrom
​Mackenzie currently works as a research assistant at Health and Rehab Research Inc. Mackenzie is currently completing an Honors Bachelor of Health Science at McMaster University with a specialization in Biology and Pharmacology. After graduation in 2022, she would like to pursue a Doctor of Pharmacy or a Masters in Pharmaceutical Science.
